Almost done!

I've been working super hard for our deadlines (one which falls on my birthday yey)! I have been designing a few bits to sell too and will be posting them shortly on a website.. details to come. Here's a picture of my new logo, let me know what you think!

Starting to design for final major project

I am constantly inspired by those around me, and feel very lucky to be able to work in a studio with some very talented people. One of those is Lauren Alice Parnell Designs, she creates innovative designs which are traditionally screen printed in modern and exiting way. This week I have been finishing off my research for my final major project and began designing. I'm really exited to start on my final designs, but worried by the amount of work I have to do.

Just a little update

This year has gone so quickly already. I'm currently designing for my final major project which I have named 'Eve and the Silk fig leaf' it draws inspiration from how women are portrayed in art which is something I have been really interested in since researching for my dissertation. I am currently researching into a few different areas including going to a few life drawing classes which have been great. If anyone fancies then there is one in Newcastle with the Bolbec Art group which runs on a Saturday and one on a Thursday at MIMA in Middlesbrough. I have also been looking through my previous work as I'm hoping to create a little online shop. Here's some of my previous work that I'm currently working into products. xx

Final Year

 I am now entering my final year at CCAD, studying BA (Hons) Textiles and Surface Design. I have just handed in my Dissertation, discussing Nude or Naked, sex in fine art from 1960 - 1990. To sit alongside my Minor project where I used nudes to create a collection of 10 Fashion fabrics. I used a range of techniques to create the below collection.
